Welcome to UmanaMente !

About us
Our story
We are a European association with an all-female board of directors.
We pursue the goal of sustainable social-economic development. To make this possible, we cooperate with partners in Europe and the Eastern Balkans to create European projects that invest on the development of practical skills and competences of youth in Europe and beyond.
Our mission
"To make international mobility
accessible, meaningful,
and transformative for
every young person."
โ
๐Human Connection
We create spaces where genuine relationships are born across languages and cultures.
โ
๐ฑSustainable Development
Every project embeds sustainability - ecological, social, and personal.
โ
๐คInclusion
We prioritise young people with fewer opportunities and those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
โ
โจNon-Formal Education
We learn by doing - not by listening. Our methodology is experiential, participatory, and joyful.
What we do
Making a difference
โ
Three types of projects.
One shared goal.
We design, manage, and facilitate Erasmus+ projects under the European Commission's Youth in Action programme. Each format serves a different audience - but all share the same spirit.

Youth exchanges
Erasmus+
โ
Youth Exchanges
Groups of young people (18-30) from 3+ countries come together for 6–21 days to explore a common theme: sustainability, digital literacy, social inclusion, sport, and more.
โ
FOR YOUNG PARTICIPANTS
Training Coursesโ
Capacity-building programmes for youth workers, educators, and project managers. Participants learn to design, facilitate, and lead youth activities across Europe.

Partnership Projects
Partnership Projects
We collaborate with European partner organisations on longer-term initiatives: co-authoring projects, sharing methodologies, and building a lasting transnational network.
โ
FOR ORGANISATIONS
OUR IMPACT
Small team.
Real impact.
Since our founding in 2021, we have grown from a project on paper to a recognised European youth organisation with partners across the continent.
HOW IT WORKSโ
From application
to transformation.
Joining one of our projects is straightforward. Here's what the journey looks like from your first click to your last goodbye.
1
Open Call
We publish an open call on Instagram and our website when a new project is available. We describe the theme, destination, dates, and eligibility criteria.
2
Application
You fill out our online application form. No prior experience is required - we look for motivation, curiosity, and willingness to engage.
3
Selection & Infopack
Selected participants receive a confirmation and a detailed Infopack - everything you need to know before departure: logistics, programme, travel reimbursement rules.
4
The Project
You arrive, you participate, you connect. Our partner guide the process - you bring the energy. All accommodation and meals are covered by Erasmus+ funding.
5
Youthpass & Travel Reimbursement
After the project, you receive your official Erasmus+ Youthpass certificate. Your travel costs are reimbursed according to the EU distance calculator within 30–60 days.

What are the Erasmus+ mobility projects?
Romina, 22
"What surprised me most was how much I learned - not from lectures, but from conversations at dinner, from working together on challenges, from simply being present with people so different from me."
Giada, 24
"I arrived not knowing anyone. By day three, I felt like I had known these people for years. I came back a different person - more open, more confident, and with friends in five countries."
Maria, 21
"I was nervous about my English, about fitting in, about everything. The team made me feel safe from day one. Now I'm already applying for the next project - and convincing all my friends to do the same."
